In an interview for the reporter Susana Naspolini, Osório said the tests with engers begin in June the 1st in the next year, out of rush periods. A month later the work will be available to the whole population, according to him. Osório has also assured the constructions are 40 days in advance in the chronogram.
“The construction of the Metrô ‘s Line 4 is nowadays the biggest infrastructure work in course in Brazil. It has 16 km that will benefit 300 thousand engers and the construction is within its deadline. Seventy five percent of the work is ready — Barra station up to Gávea is concluded and now the work depends on the Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM). The TBM is in the Jardim de Alah and it will arrive in Antero de Quintal in October, and in the end of the year will connect the two tunnels”, he said.
On the questionings of the Tribunal of the State, which demonstrated in a report its preoccupation, that the construction could not be ready for the Olympic Games, Osório said the document is from the last year. “Zero chances [of works not being ready]. Our challenges have already been overcome. There are 9,2 thousand employees working 24h per day”.
